Basic Standpoints of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist)

  • Our beloved motherland India is a semi colonial, semi feudal country. India has never won independence from colonialism. The sham independence granted to the country by the British imperialism on 15th August 1947 was a conspiracy to deviate democratic revolution of the people by the British imperialism. The episode of 1947 was a peaceful transfer of power by the British imperialism to its trusted allies the reactionary feudal landlords and comprador bourgeoisie led by their political outfit the murderer Congress party and Muslim League of Pakistan.  This transfer of power ended direct imperialist occupation of India and the imperialist goons since then moved to the backstage and controlled the functioning of the subsequent puppet governments elected under a fake democratic setup controlled by a reactionary colonial administrative system. Hence, India is a pseudo independent country ruled by the most reactionary classes of the society. India is also the largest and most important haven of imperialist plunder in the world.
  • The Indian society is still an agrarian society by large, and the production relations of agriculture in this country is semi feudal in characteristics. Feudalism has been the main pillar of imperialism and comprador capitalism in this country, it had been nurtured by imperialism and comprador capitalism and on the other hand it catered to them with political and economic support. Agriculture had been the major source of income of the Indian people, and the major part of the masses is peasantry. The major part of the peasantry has little or no land ownership and is the most exploited class in the Indian society. Their contradiction with the ruling feudal classes is the principal contradiction of the country, i.e the contradiction between the people and feudalism.
  • The Indian bourgeoisie class is comprador in nature, historically this class was born to be supplier of raw materials and work as “middle men” for their colonial masters. Post 1947, this comprador bourgeoisie class has ruled the country with active support of imperialist powers and with its alliance with the feudal landlords. The comprador bourgeoisie class has no revolutionary trend of “national bourgeoisie” class and this class is tied up with imperialism and feudalism for its existence. Hence, free capitalism or independent capitalism has not developed in this country, and the comprador capitalist class has always mortgaged the country to the imperialist rulers. The comprador bourgeoisie are completely dependent on the imperialist powers for finance, technology and for further expansion of their business in other parts of the world. The contradiction between the comprador bourgeoisie and the working class is a major contradiction of the Indian society.
  • Post 1947 India had ceased to be an exclusive colony of British imperialism. The country had been plundered by all major imperialist powers; the chief among them had been the US imperialism and the Soviet social imperialism (after capitalism was restored in Soviet Union in 1956). Since the early 1990’s the chief plunderer of the country is the US imperialism led imperialist bloc, and the ruling classes and their reactionary state machinery serves the interest of the US imperialist exploitation and loot. All governments formed by the reactionary political powers had been servile tools of imperialism and social imperialism and their actions were openly or covertly supported by revisionist and neo revisionist forces. The contradiction between the people of India and imperialism is one of the major contradictions of the society.
  • Resolution of the principal contradiction, i.e the contradiction between the people of the country and feudalism will also resolve the other major contradictions.
  • Therefore the stage of the Indian revolution is democratic in nature, and it is led by the proletarian class, hence it is the new type of democratic revolution or new democratic revolution.
  • The main axis of the people’s democratic revolution is armed agrarian revolution, and the only the armed agrarian revolution led by the proletarian class can overthrow feudalism and establish people’s democratic system.
  • The armed agrarian revolution of our country can only win victory following the path showed by the great revolution of China led by Chairman Mao Tse-tung.
  • The C.P.I (M-L) has discarded the parliamentary path for the whole strategic period of the people’s democratic revolution. The C.P.I (M-L) upholds the path of armed agrarian revolution by waging a successful People’s war, encircling cities with villages and finally capturing them; as shown by Chairman Mao Tse-tung and Vice Chairman Comrade Lin Piao.
  • The CPI (M-L) considers the following as the three main weapon to achieve victory in the revolutionary struggle:
  1. To build and consolidate our Party using the methods of criticism, self criticism and to create link with the major part of the people.
  2. The People’s Army under the leadership of our Party.
  3. To form a united front under our Party’s leadership with all revolutionary classes and revolutionary groups which are involved in armed struggle.
  • We consider Chairman Mao Tse-tung and Vice Chairman Comrade Lin Piao as the international revolutionary authority. Vice Chairman Comrade Lin Piao is the genuine successor of Chairman Mao Tse-tung.
  • Mao Tse-tung’s Thought is our guiding theoretical foundation. Mao Tse-tung’s Thought is also the highest development of Marxism-Leninism.
  • This is the era of total collapse of imperialism and the era of the worldwide victory of socialism. This era is the new historic era of Chairman Mao Tse-tung. This is not the era of Lenin (i.e era of imperialism and proletarian revolution). Marxism-Leninism has developed to a higher and developed form – Mao Tse-tung’s thought.
  • We uphold the red banner of Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution of China led personally by Chairman Mao and Vice Chairman Comrade Lin Piao. We consider the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution the third great revolution of the world (First is the November Soviet Revolution 1917, second is the October Revolution of China 1949)
  • The important trend of this era is the rise and growth of a non Communist and anti-imperialist power throughout the world. We call it the Third Power (as the main two powers of the current world are i)socialist power ii) imperialist power). We look forward to unite with the Third Power to hasten the doom of imperialism.
  • Immortal martyr Respected leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar personally created the invincible “Naxalbari”, he personally kindled the flame of people’s war in Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh). Respected leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar founded our great Party on the 22nd of April 1969. His direction is to follow the great two books of Comrade Lin Piao : a) Long Live the Victory of People’s War. b)The Report to the Ninth National Congress of C.P.C to understand the correct and wrong trend of the world politics.
  • Respected leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar inherited the true spirit of Marxism-Leninism Mao Tse-tung’s Thought, and as a true disciple of Chairman Mao Tse-tung implemented his thoughts according to concrete condition of India. Thereby he created the strong theoretical base for the revolution of India – the Politics of Respected Leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar. The politics of Respected leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar is the correct integration of the univeral truth of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Tse-tung’s Thought, Theory of People’s War of Vice Chairman Comrade Lin Piao.
  • Leader of heart Respected Comrade Mahadev Mukherjee led the Indian revolution from 1973 till 2009. Leader of heart Respected Comrade Mahadev Mukherjee inherited, protected and developed Marxism-Leninism, Mao Tse-tung’s Thought, Theory of People’s War of Vice Chairman Comrade Lin Piao, the Politics of Respected Leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar to a completely new and higher stage: The accurate line of Leader of heart Respected Comrade Mahadev Mukherjee. Therefore the Accurate Line of Leader of heart Respected Comrade Mahadev Mukherjee is the correct integration of the univeral truth of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Tse-tung’s Thought, Theory of People’s War of Vice Chairman Comrade Lin Piao and the  Politics of Respected Leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar
  • Leader of heart Respected Comrade Mahadev Mukherjee led relentless struggles against revisionism of all shades both on national and international board. Under his bold and heroic leadership the party and the people fought heroic battles against feudalism, bureaucrat capitalism, and imperialism.
  • C.P.I (M-L) believes that “without a revolutionary authority revolution is not possible”. The leadership of the CPI (M-L) party is authoritative leadership and is based on the principle of democratic centralism.
  • The CPI (M-L) strongly abides by the political line of respected leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar that without promoting the poor and landless peasantry class to leadership the revolutionary struggle cannot leap to higher stages.
  • The CPI (M-L) asserts itself; following the teachings of respected leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar and leader of heart respected Comrade Mahadev Mukherjee, as the only revolutionary party of India. It accepts the fact that there are other revolutionary forces in the country; however, as historically there can be only one correct revolutionary party in a country at a time, therefore the CPI (M-L) denies the existence of any other revolutionary party in the country. The CPI (M-L) looks forward for broader unity with the revolutionary forces of the country against the enemies of the people.
  • The CPI (M-L) follows the direction of respected leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar, and leader of heart respected Comrade Mahadev Mukherjee to form broad united front against the reactionary class enemies, and with largeness of mind the general quality of the Communists, Party is always ready to unite against the enemy with those who opposed us in the past.
  • The CPI (M-L) follows the teachings of respected leader Comrade Charu Mazumdar on united front with utmost dedication -: “A united front can be successfully built up only by directing successfully an armed struggle. The principal thing about a united front is that it is the united front of the working class and the peasantry. Only such a united front can unite the middle classes and can unite, even though temporarily, with all those with whom unity is possible. Only a revolutionary party can carry out this task. And in the present era the sole criterion to judge whether a party is revolutionary or not is whether the party is directing an armed struggle or not.
  • C.P.I (M-L) asserts that the liberation of the whole world depends on the liberation of India, as India is the haven of imperialist plunder therefore the success of the people’s democratic revolution in India will strongly propel the victory of liberation struggle of the people all around the world.
  • The C.P.I (M-L) is consistently following the path of building peasants alternative government in the rural areas, namely the “Revolutionary Committee’s” which is a gift of the great Proletarian Cultural Revolution of China. Our “Revolutionary Committee” line had been implemented in Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. C.P.I (M-L) believes that only under the leadership of the poor and landless peasants the “Revolutionary Commitee’s” can survive and attain growth.
